![]() Once back on the boat they then take you over to Catalina island and moor up out at sea, you are then required to get from the catamaran into a much smaller boat that fits 20-30 people, in choppy waters this is difficult to manoeuvre and you need to be physically able. She would then use her whistle to get everyone’s attention, she was not well liked. ![]() The tour leader on the other bus tour, which joined ours, was awful, she proceeded to strike panic barking instructions which no one could understand. One lady on the trip badly hurt her shin! The steps to get off and on the boat from the water were extremely narrow and slippy. The snorkelling was average with a very short first session, due to the choppy waters. The coach was full and when we arrived, there was another bus group on the same catamaran, which meant over 100 people on one boat! Packed with no where to sit, there were far too many people which detracted from the experience. We were advised that the journey was only 50 mins from our hotel rep (Catalonia Royal) but with all the stops this was more like 2hrs. Please please take water with you, if you still decide to go on this trip, as you won’t be given any until around 10.30am, 3hrs after the pick up! So here’s an honest and frank explanation of what the trip actually entails….įirstly, you will be collected from your hotel in a mini bus and get off at the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown punta Cana where we were then waiting for 30mins before getting on to a much larger coach. We were expecting breakfast, lunch on the beach and to be back at our hotel for 6.30pm in time for dinner. I’m not sure if we were miss sold m but it was our understanding that this was a snorkel trip at an amazing reef on the Caribbean side. This trip is a very long day… in all honesty we would not recommend as we know there are better trips available….
